Pioneer Federal Group was built on the belief that government agencies deserve contractors who take ownership of the mission. We are not driven by excuses. We are driven by execution.
Desi Pelaez enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as one of the first Marines in his family and served as an Aviation Supply Specialist (MOS 6672) at MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina, and MCAS Miramar, San Diego, California. During his service, he worked across logistics, financial accounting, warehouse operations, and squadron supply support, gaining firsthand experience in the systems and processes that keep mission-critical operations moving.
In addition to his logistics responsibilities, Desi served as a Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor, training and mentoring fellow Marines while reinforcing the discipline and accountability that shape his approach to business today.
Pioneer Federal Group was founded alongside longtime friend and business partner Jonas Moreno. While Desi developed his experience through military service, Jonas built his through hands-on trades, operations, and entrepreneurship. Together, they share one standard: do the work right and own the outcome.
Today, Pioneer Federal Group brings that same mindset to federal contracting: take ownership, communicate clearly, and deliver results clients can depend on.
Desi leads Pioneer Federal Group's overall direction, contract decisions, and customer relationships. He brings a Marine Corps mindset of discipline, ownership, and follow-through to every engagement.
Jonas leads day-to-day operations, including vendor coordination, crew scheduling, and execution support across active task orders. He keeps the work moving so commitments made are commitments kept.
One responsible contractor on every job. When we take a task order, we own the outcome through completion.
Military logistics taught us that execution lives in the details. Qualified personnel, clear schedules, and proactive communication keep the mission on track.
We are not chasing one contract. We are building a reputation federal customers can rely on, one task order at a time.
